Aggregate Holdings for Trading 212 Sync

I want an option to have my Trading 212 holdings cumulatively added to the balance total.

Currently, both the “Transactions & Balance” as well as "Balance Only" modes for the YNAB destination seems to use the spare ‘available cash’ balance instead of the total account value (available cash + holdings), which results in a £0 balance if most of the value is invested in stocks/shares.

This means my YNAB gets synced a balance of £0 constantly, as holdings aren’t counted in the balance. It would be great if LunchFlow could aggregate my holding’s value into a single total balance for syncing to destinations like YNAB.

Aggregate Holdings and Cash for Trading 212 Total Balance Sync

I want an option to have my Trading 212 holdings cumulatively added to the balance total. Currently, the "sync balance only" mode seems to pull the available cash balance (Free Funds) instead of the total account value (Cash + Holdings), which results in a £0 balance if most of the value is in stocks. It would be great if the system could aggregate these into a single total balance for syncing to destinations like YNAB.

    Hey @Evie 👋

Thank you very much for the feedback! I see your point, and also just checked YNAB once more and I don’t believe they have an ‘investment’ account type where I can easily map holdings … Happy to consider this if more users are running into it as well, but as far as I can tell, YNAB isn’t trying to capture investment data 😅

Do keep the feedback coming 😄

      Hi there, Amr!

YNAB does support tracking investments as ‘off-budget’ accounts. I use this for tracking and for calculating net worth statistics and such. They don’t support holdings as a concept though, so the best way to sync these would be with an adjustment transaction every day or so to keep the balance up to date.

So far LunchFlow’s transaction history works well, but the balance always gets adjusted to £0. All I’m asking is for a sum of the holding value instead, maybe as an option/checkbox?

very good point, thanks for letting me know about that option.

I think this option may be useful across other places as well, will give it some thought and keep you updated here.
